MODERNIZING THE FACE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RECRUITING

Web Design

The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) career and recruiting information had been available as easily ignored individual pages on the main FEMA.gov website.

We consolidated, updated, and augmented their content; then we moved toward modernizing the look and feel of their web presence.

Elevation Arts designed a stand-alone, fully responsive recruiting website for FEMA.

Job seekers can watch a welcome video on the landing page of the website, look for jobs, check on their application status, and learn about working in the federal government, job types, the application process, and more.

Website features:

Accessibile/Section 508 Compliant

Analytics Reporting

Responsive (Mobile-Friendly)

Search Engine Optimization

User Experience-Oriented Interface Design

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) needed to attract more high-quality candidates for their positions, but kept getting frustrated feedback about how difficult it was to apply.

Through interviews, research, and discovery sessions, Elevation Arts discovered that job seekers were extremely confused by the federal job application process. What happened to the application once it was submitted was also a grand mystery. So we set about consolidating and simplifying this information, then presenting it visually in an easy to understand steps.

FEMA’s career and recruiting information was long and difficult to find on the main FEMA.gov website. It contained pages upon pages of instructions and information spread across multiple sources.

Elevation Arts developed two printable one-sided infographics encapsulating all of this information. This makes it easy for applicants to apply and then track their journey through a stream-lined process.
